GEMAISA 2 Regional programme | Training for facilitators in Gender Mainstreaming & Participatory Action Research for gender sensitive value chains development

In the framework of GEMAISA 2 regional programme funded by the Italian Cooperation, the first "Training for facilitators in Gender Mainstreaming & Participatory Action Research for gender sensitive value chains development" was delivered in Lebanon from 17 to 19 October by CIHEAM Bari experts Patrizia Pugliese, Marie Reine Bteich and Roberta Pellizzoli.

The training  is aimed at laying the foundations of the GeMaiSa2 local initiative in Lebanon by engaging a vast array of players and  stakeholders in an in-depth analysis and reflection on how to effectively mainstream gender issues within rural and agricultural development policies and programmes, how to develop gender-sensitive value chains and on methodological approaches that can be used to understand women’s and men’s different position within value chains.

The training programme will be replicated in the five other proect countries i.e. Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Morocco, Palestine in the next 2 months.
