During the 151st Governing Board meeting of the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), Mrs. Frida Krifka was elected President of the Governing Board and Mr. Teodoro Miano as Secretary General of the Intergovernmental Organisation. The President will take office on 1 April 2023 and the new Secretary General on 1 March 2023.

SUSTAINABLE WATER AND LAND MANAGEMENT IN AGRICULTURE

The Master Programme provides a one academic year curriculum the main objective of which is to direct students towards professional and academic careers thereby promoting a sustainable use of land and water in agriculture, in view of important challenges that include water/land scarcity, population growth, climate change and correlated environmental and socio-economic repercussions.

INNOVATIVE APPROACHES TO IPM OF MEDITERRANEAN FRUIT AND VEGETABLES CROPS​

The Master Programme provides a one academic year curriculum whose main objective is to prepare motivated students towards professional and academic careers that will promote integrated pest and disease management strategies for a sustainable intensification of arboriculture in the Mediterranean agroecosystems.

MEDITERRANEAN ORGANIC AGRICULTURE

The Master programme provides a one academic year curriculum the main objective of which is to direct students towards professional and academic careers thereby promoting the development of organic agriculture, with an emphasis on Mediterranean contexts.

OPEN INNOVATION & YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN THE MEDITERRANEAN AGRIFOOD SECTOR

The Master course aims to train a new generation of innovation managers to enhance entrepreneurial culture; to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of innovative projects within existing enterprises and organizations (innovation managers); to launch new business initiatives (start-ups); to provide consultancy services to promote knowledge transfer by introducing business innovation processes and methods (innovation brokers).

SUSTAINABLE
AGRO-ECOSYSTEMS AND RESILIENCE (SARE)

The Master Programme focuses on farming and food systems evolution, identifying the agro-ecosystem as the unit for action, a complex system with economic, social, and ecological components and the local community as the main stakeholder relying on the agroecosystem functions and aiming to conserve and improve its ability to resist and respond to changes.
